Since Mar ch 25, 2022- I have been eating healthy and since April 4, 2022- I have been training with Santi and very dedicated. After that its work out time!!! Santi has me motivated and determined and checks up on me to see how I am doing. He has me walk around my pool for 8 mins with 5 lb weights to get my cardio going. He has me write down exactly what he wants me to do and I do it. I train with Santi 3 times a week on face time. Since the pandemic it has been easier for me to work out from my home. Santi is absolutely AMAZING!!! He has a heart of gold and really cares about each and everyone of his clients. This really is a family, Our Conquer Family where everyone looks forward to coming everyday And sweating our butts off. The energy and the bond everyone has is truly like no other. Coach Santi and Coach Clara not only provide effective workouts but they are constantly pushing you to a new level each week! They make it their personal mission to always keep us on track and are so informative. I’ve never been happier and that’s thanks to the coaches and my friends.
Not only has my physical health improve d but my mental health has as well. this has been hands down one of the best decisions I've ever made. then my cousin and I found out a few friends and family members were members of this AMAZING gym and we signed up. on top of that there were rarely any “trainers” who really knew how to help and guide me in certain workouts I should do. i felt like I spent too much time working out and saw little to no results. “I keep believing every day and I believe that God put this on my path because I can conquer it and she can too,” Bourdeau said.I've never been one to like the gym much. She says it’s her goal to beat her own cancer too. With the holidays around the corner Melissa says her only wish is that her mom beats ovarian cancer. “I pray for me and I pray for Melissa,” she said. They say they try to keep up with their daily routines and stay positive throughout this journey.īourdeau still runs her fitness centre, Evo Studio, when her body allows it.īourgeois says it’s important to practice her faith. The pair lives together and they help each other through cancer treatment. “I just wish she’s going to be okay… she’s only 30,” she said. “She has pain this weekend, I told her ‘I understand you a lot – I know what you feel’” Bourgeois said.īourgeois says she is anxious about her battle but it’s her daughter’s diagnosis that is most painful. “It’s incredible what we’re living together.”īourdeau says she feels like her mother can understand what she is going through, even how she feels following intense treatment that can affect her for days. “To be honest, it developed a mother-daughter bond that I could never imagine before,” Bourdeau said.
The pair, who was already inseparable, says this journey together is only strengthening their bond. “We’re never going to give up, because we’re going to fight that – both – together,” Bourgeois said. Both will require radiation treatment next. Bourgeois is also undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Since, she has undergone a double mastectomy followed by chemotherapy. “I fell on my knees, I shed all the tears I had to shed and I just couldn’t realize it, I didn’t believe it,” Bourdeau said.Īfter discovering a lump in May, Bourdeau said doctors discovered an aggressive tumour. “I said ‘oh my God, what are we going to do,’” Bourgeois recalls from that day, wondering if the pair could get through it. One month later, her 30-year-old daughter Melissa Bourdeau received her own shocking diagnosis of Stage 2 breast cancer. In April, 64-year-old Marie-Paule Bourgeois was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. A mother and daughter are finding strength in each other after receiving a cancer diagnosis one month apart.
